Tamara, a young 1stgrade teacher has just become a mom for the first time. While enjoying her parental leave & her daughter Teodora’s first months, she wanted her little treasure to spend her playtime with something more than just toys. She had a vision to create a learning tool that was so fun to use it was almost considered a toy. Reading on Montessori methods and discovering a serious lack of motor skills development in early stages of life, an idea was sparked. Efficient, yet fun approaches to learning & moving were soon wrapped into colorful stories & shaped into a see touch feel book. The first Smartibook was born.

Smartibook, a family story.

While little Teordora was having her tiny hands full with learning & developing, her young pals were occupied by ordinary toys. That was soon observed by the parents from the neighborhood, who each wanted a Smartibook for their youngest ones – some wanted a busy book for toddlers 1-3, while others were looking for a busy book for toddlers 3-5 and some were. The orders kept coming in & Tamara soon acknowledged she unknowingly took first steps down her own entrepreneurial path. Having little to no business experience, she sought help at her closest ones – today, they are at the core of Smartibook, handling the challenges brought about by the company’s growth & making the brand a true family business success story.
